These accolades include being voted the best golf course in River Course by Viewers’ Choice Awards WWAY TV 3 for 2021 and 2022. The course has also hosted the CPGA Pro-Assistant Championship for 2013-2021, and been a qualifying course for the US Open in 1998-2006 and 2008-2021. In addition, the golf course has been ranked two times as one of the top 40 golf courses in North Carolina by the NC Golf Panel, and two times as one of the top 50 golf courses in North Carolina by the NC Golf Panel.
