Staff Spotlight: Melinda Bond

October 25, 2019

If you’ve ever walked into the Administration Building of River Landing with a question about mailbox keys, trash pickup, or any number of property questions, chances are you have enjoyed the Southern charm of POA Coordinator, Melinda Bond.

Having been with River Landing for more than 11 years, Melinda first came answering a job search and a recommendation from several of her friends who also worked for Murphy Family Ventures. To talk to Melinda you would think her job is one of the more easy ones on site. Nothing could be further from the truth though as she manages multiple databases, infrastructure repairs, relations with the town and the county, requests from residents, and more! Says Bond, “I enjoy being able to help people. Whether it’s something as simple as getting a phone number or email address for someone or helping new residents get acclimated to [River Landing], to helping folks get new trash cans, my job is fun and fulfilling each and every day!”

Melinda is home-grown having been born and raised in Duplin County. Married 22 years to Hank Bond she has spent hours upon hours on the farm helping run a working farm and raising two boys: Dylan, 17, and Landen, 13. Despite her time on the farm she is a true beach girl at heart. “I love warm weather, the sand bar, and being on our boat.”
