Even with COVID-19 dominating the headlines for most of 2020, the demand for single family housing has remained strong. That’s just one of the reasons eight couples came to River Landing on October 1, 2020, fostering a dream of turning their homesite into a custom home. River Landing is known for providing affordable luxury housing, so these couple were eager to experience it for themselves during the October 2020 Custom Home Program Builder Showcase.
On the first evening, the couples met up with CHP Preferred Builders, Allied Partners, River Landing team members, and current River Landing residents to enjoy a night at the River Lodge. While getting to know each other, guests enjoyed incredible food by the River Landing Banquet and Events staff, great music by local singer/songwriter John Jones, intros to the builders and partners, and more! For over two hours, the area alongside the beautiful Northeast Cape Fear River was filled with conversation and laughter.
The next morning, the couples reconvened in the River Room at the Grand Clubhouse for breakfast, followed by a tour of the Clubhouse Suites, the 1st floor dining rooms, the Golf Shop, and the immediate golf course area. The highlight of the overall event wasn’t truly recognized until each of the couples took off in their own personalized club golf cart to tour a total of seven River Landing homes, each in a different state of construction through completion. Beginning with just a cleared homesite and stacks of foundation bricks, then moving on to nearly finished and finally beautifully completed homes, the group visited the Maple Creek, River Ridge, Cedar Point, Legacy Oaks, and River Village Square neighborhoods. They were greeted by a mix of builders, project managers, and residents, who were all thrilled to share their experiences and knowledge. It was a feast for the eyes with plenty of information for property owners to see just how easy it can be to convert dirt into a dream home!
