Murphy Family Ventures is a diverse company with interests in multiple areas. Each business has a specific marketing need that is met by an outstanding team of creative minds at the River Landing Administration Building. At the start of the summer, a marketing internship position became available and was quickly filled by former River Landing resident and current Meredith College business administration student, Cameron Blue.
Born in Greenville, NC, Cameron graduated from Harrells Christian Academy in 2019 and has been an active member of her school and the Duplin County community. She most recently held a hostess position at Mad Boar Restaurant.
A marketing intern assists a company in its revenue and advertising efforts and is involved in a number of tasks, including identifying campaign needs, designing marketing materials and working with team members to evaluate current brand efforts, as well as assisting with the companies’ social media accounts. Cameron has stepped up and become an essential member of the MFV marketing team; a spot she was truly hoping for.
Says Cameron, “Through the internship, I hope to gain insight into business and marketing in general. More specifically though, I think that having an experience in an office and with a team, I can be ahead of the game some and assemble a working knowledge of life beyond the books. Every day I get to see how each person plays a role in the overall goals of Murphy Family Ventures and I think that is invaluable to my education.”
Cameron will return to Meredith College in the fall, but is continuing to grow and learn through her opportunity with MFV.
