Real Weddings: Regan + Justin

May 1, 2019

Regan and Justin said their vows in a classically elegant wedding ceremony on our Verandah this past February.  From the black and white decor, to the selection of food, to the fog rolling across the golf course in the background on cue as she walked down the aisle, the day could not have been more perfect. So, we talked with the couple to find out all of the details and what they loved most about their big day.

Details

  1. How did you two meet?
We met at the NCSU Ducks Unlimited Banquet and we later discovered that his brother, Garrett, was my neighbor at the time.

  1. How did he propose?
He was going to be out of town for Valentine’s Day so he cooked me dinner, which is a normal occurance for him, and completely surprised me right there at home!

  2. Tell us about your ceremony:
Our ceremony was short sweet and meaningful just like we had imagined. I don’t remember seeing anyone in the audience, just Justin and the beautiful string lighting. We had the most beautiful musical quartet and my mom helped me decide all of the music which was very special. Justin and I walked out to “crazy Little Thing Called Love” played by the string quartet and it was awesome.

3. Tell us about your reception:
Our reception was so much fun. The band, Liquid Pleasure, was incredible and I was able to talk to so many of my closest family and friends. On top of that, we had amazing food thanks to the great chef at River Landing. All of the staff was incredible too!

4. Why did you two choose River Landing?
River Landing is not only an incredible place with multiple venues, restaurants, a Hotel, Cottages, etc, but on top of that it has been my home and I am incredibly blessed to have lived in such a beautiful place. I was able to have my rehearsal, wedding and reception all close by, while my wedding party and guests were able to also be close by. There are also plans to add another hotel in the near future which will allow for even more guests accommodations.

5. What advice would you give to couples planning their wedding?
Do not stress the small things. Plan everything at the beginning of your engagement so you will be able to truly enjoy the time leading up to the big day.

6. If you had to choose one photo from your gallery that best sums up your wedding, which one would it be and why?
This is so HARD!! I think the picture with everyone in our wedding party is the best because it basically sums up our life. We are so blessed and surrounded with lots of family and friends who we love to be with all the time and who would do anything for us. It made the day even better having them by our sides.

SB&G Instagram Takeover
