How did you two meet?
Eric and I met on Spring Break in Myrtle Beach, despite going to school in the same small town in upstate New York. We actually took some time apart during college and rekindled our relationship once we both moved to Raleigh to establish our careers. The first time we saw each other in almost 2 years we both knew we still loved each other and we were engaged 4 months later.
How did he propose?
Since I knew we were serious, my one request when Eric proposed was for me to look nice/have my nails done since I knew there would be pictures to follow. Well, Eric completely caught me off guard one night after a cycling class when I planned to meet him for dinner. As I pulled up and walked inside, all the lights were off and a walkway of candles led me inside. Despite the obvious, it didn’t seem real until I heard music playing and actually saw Eric get down on one knee. It was so romantic that I didn’t care about my lack of makeup or nail polish!
What was your favorite moment on your big day?
One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was stepping away from our reception to take a series of sunset photos. Stepping out onto the balcony and enjoying the brief silence together while everyone danced inside made time seem to stand still. Plus the pictures turned out perfectly!
Why did you two choose River Landing?
Aside from said balcony and the beautiful venue, we chose the River Landing because it was simply the best–we loved the lodging and accommodations, the food bar options and affordable pricing, and the friendly and incredible staff! It was the most amazing day ever and I couldn’t imagine having it anywhere else! We had MULTIPLE guests tell us it was their favorite wedding they’ve ever attended.
