Staff Spotlight: Meredith Horne - Marketing Manager
Meredith took over the Marketing Manager role in July of 2017. Her responsibilities include developing creative campaigns, designs, and ads used to promote our companies. She also designs the menus for our restaurants and contributes to our posts on each of our social media channels and websites. Additionally, Meredith researches market trends to ensure we are maximizing the benefits of our advertising funds.
Before joining our team, Meredith was employed at Harrells Christian Academy in Harrells, NC where she taught Art, Spanish, and Religion, coached Varsity Cheerleading, and ran the Marketing Department! She was their videographer, photographer, Yearbook adviser, RenWeb Coordinator (a Student Information System with parent and student access portals), and Pink Out Adviser. Clearly she has a lot of work experience and we are thrilled for her to now be a part of our team!

What is your favorite part of your job?
Recently I’ve enjoyed putting my own creativity on some of the things already in place. We revamped the weekly Glance Ahead e-mail last month to make it more streamlined and are currently working on making The Landings newsletter more visually appealing. I also love meeting our Members and customers and helping out wherever I can.
What is something not many people know about you?
I attended and completed NC Governor’s School between my Junior and Senior year of high school. My concentration was mathematics.
Where is your hometown?
Clinton, North Carolina
Do you have a favorite sports team?
NC State and Duke!
What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?
“If you argue with a fool, you’ll have two fools arguing.” (Wise words from my late grandfather, Melton Horne…I don’t know if he got this from somewhere else, but it’s served me well in life).
